Cooper Creek Wedding — Jeremy + Sue Anne

We had the pleasure of filming Jeremy and Sue Anne’s Cooper Creek Wedding in Blue Ash, Ohio. This is a highlight film of their wedding day. It was bright and sunny when we arrived at Cooper Creek Event Center and because of the amount of rain we had been experiencing in the midwest I had my eyes on the forecast all week. The chance of rain wasn’t very high, but right as we were getting ready to position Jeremy for the first look it started to rain. Luckily it was a very short rain shower and it passed very quickly so we were able to get back outside to get the first look and bridal party photo session in before the ceremony. Sue Anne was so stunning in her Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and those Sergio Rossi heels were to die for. The ceremony was so beautiful and it was very evident how important having a Christ centered marriage is to them. After the ceremony we were able to go back outside and get more footage of them and the light was amazing. It was one of those moments where you just wanted to keep shooting but it was time to get back in to continue the celebration with their reception.

Thank you Jeremy and Sue Anne for having us be a part of your wedding team.

Brad {+} Kate

This is teaser from a wedding we recently shot in Indianapolis, Indiana. What stands out to us about Brad and Kate is they are 2 of the nicest people you would want to meet. They managed to squeeze in a dinner with us the week leading up to their wedding and those of you that have been a part of planning a wedding know this time is a sacrifice. So fun just hanging out with them. Kate’s dress was amazing and she looked so beautiful in it.

The wedding had such a classic vibe to it and the reception venue looked incredible with the florals, monogram, custom farm tables and the use of the Edison lights over the dance floor.

We enjoyed working with a familiar team of wedding professionals.

Canal 337 Wedding – Eric & Gina

Eric & Gina — Canal 337 Wedding Highlight from Northernlight Filmworks on Vimeo.

With all the rain we had in June we were so lucky that Eric and Gina’s wedding day was so perfect. We were able to head to Canal 337 a little earlier in the day and get some aerial footage right on the canal then we were off to see Gina and Eric and capture them getting ready for their wedding. It was so wonderful meeting their family and friends and seeing all the excitement leading up to the first look. My favorite part when Gina came out in her dress was her little scream. The first look was so sweet as Eric and Gina saw each other for the first time. The ceremony was beautiful and I loved how they looked in each others eyes as they said their vows. You can really see how much these two are in love.

I remember when we met with them over dinner before the wedding John asked about their honeymoon. Eric planned the entire thing but it was a secret to Gina and she wouldn’t know where they were going until they got to the airport. I just love surprises but it was killing me to know. I asked on the wedding day if she knew yet and she still did not know. Eric told her he could tell if she wanted but she insisted on keeping it a surprise. I couldn’t wait to see where they went. Gina posted on her Facebook page they made it to Costa Rica. That was an awesome surprise!

Congratulations Eric and Gina! We are so happy for you and wish you a life time of happiness.

We had the pleasure working with a great team of vendors. Thank you to Maike Pullian for sharing her photos with us. To check out Eric and Gina’s wedding photos, CLICK HERE.

Indianapolis Museum of Art Wedding

Claire {+} Justin

Wedding videography

This was an Indianapolis Museum of Art Wedding we filmed. Claire and Justin are one of those couples that stand out as being very sentimental and obviously “in love”.   One thing about our interview segments is that our couples really seem to open up and are authentic about their relationship.  We are always intrigued by how people meet and how things seem to fall into place in a round about way.  They both have solid families that have raised them very well, which is a great foundation for their own marriage.

Indiana has experienced a very rainy summer and we were watching the forecast for this outdoor wedding a week out.  As we got closer to the date, it was apparent that we would not escape the storm.  We know it was heart breaking for Claire as she really wanted the ceremony outside on the beautiful grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  Although we were able to get some photos outside and the first look, the wedding was moved indoors, which still has some of the outdoors as a backdrop.  An article published in Huffington Post titled, “Only You Can Let Bad Weather Ruin Your Wedding Day“.  Claire said to us, “it’s ok, I’m going to get married.  It is symbolic to all the storms we have weathered.”  The article in part mentioned that rain on your wedding day is supposed to be lucky or a symbol of fertility.  There you go Justin and Claire.

Inside or outside, this wedding was beautiful, not because of the location or the flowers or the cake.  Although those are all important things, it really revolves around the couple, their personality, love for each other, authenticity, their family and friends.  It was a great day and we wish them all the best.  Thank you for entrusting us with the responsibility of documenting your wedding day.
