The day was perfect for Ryan and Makenzie’s St Peter Catholic Church and Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding. We are always intrigued by the couples we get to meet and the stories of how they met and the proposal that eventually leads to their wedding day. Makenzie and Ryan were very open and candid about their relationship and this was refreshing. This was seemingly a struggle between heart and mind and as often the case, the heart wins many times over. This is not only a story of the wedding day but a chronicle of the pursuit, persistence and setting free.
The back drop of this wedding was the beautiful State of Colorado. We met up with Ryan and Makenzie a few days before the wedding for a short informal chat about the genesis of their relationship. It is fun when we meet and connect with our couples and find similar interests. We own a boat and talked to Ryan about his love of the lake life and talked to Makenzie about her love of Colorado and climbing Fourteeners, which we also love.
One of the things about Colorado, no matter the time of year, you can always find beauty and filming in the fall certainly gave us some great landscape shots. But setting that aside, Makenzie is a beautiful woman and she looked stunning on her wedding day. Ryan prepared an eloquent and thoughtful speech and he had a captive audience to share his thoughts about Makenzie.
Thank you Ryan and Makenzie for entrusting us with telling part of your story.
