Indianapolis Public Library | Ryan + Christine

Indianapolis Public Library | Ryan + Christine from Northernlight Filmworks on Vimeo.

The Indianapolis Public Library was the perfect venue for Ryan and Christine’s classic wedding. The week leading up to the wedding we kept our eyes on the weather as it seemed to change by the minute. Despite the weather being crummy they were such great sports about it and went with the flow. Fortunately the library is so gorgeous inside there was plenty of areas through out to get some great shots.

The day was full of laughter and happy tears. From Ryan talking about how he knew after their first date that she was the one and started saving for a ring right away. Ryan and Christine are so in love with each other, it put a small eon everyones face watching the two interact.

How amazing did Christine look in that dress? She is so stunning and her radiant personality and smile is infectious. Ryan also looked amazing in his classic suit and how cool that he changed into a white dinner jacket for the reception. We have had brides change from the ceremony to the reception but this was a first that the groom changed.

As always we had the pleasure to work with such an incredible team to make Ryan and Christine’s wedding their dream come true.

Julia and Warner-Indianapolis Wedding

It was a pleasure filming this wedding for Julia and Warner at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, Indiana. Julia had recently lost her loving Grandfather a short period of time before her wedding. Warner was wearing her Grandfathers cuff links while carrying his pocket watch. We love the sentimental parts that will forever have meaning. Julia looked stunning in her wedding dress coming down the aisle and she was all smiles. It was a beautiful evening overlooking Indianapolis at the top of the Skyline Club.

Indiana University Wedding — Jordan + Aubrey

It was so perfect for Jordan and Aubrey to have an Indiana University wedding.  Not only are they both IU grads but Jordan played basketball for IU.  We had met Jordan 6 year earlier when we filmed his brother Jay and sister-in-law Lauren’s wedding.  We always love when we get to film siblings weddings, so we were extremely excited Jordan and Aubrey chose us to film their wedding as well.

With all the rain we had been having this summer I kept my eye on the radar and prayed we did not have any rain for their big day. It started out very cloudy but then the sun started to peak out, which made for a cool time lapse of the church when I arrived. Their ceremony took place at St Charles Catholic Church in Bloomington and it was such a beautiful ceremony. Their bubble exit from the church was so fun! We then moved to the Indiana University Campus for bridal party photos. Their reception took place at one of our favorite venues on campus, Henke Hall of Champions at Memorial Stadium. I just love how bright and open this space is, plus the view of the football field is pretty cool too.

Thank you Jordan and Aubrey for having us film your beautiful wedding. You both are amazing individuals and make an even more amazing team.

Cooper Creek Wedding — Jeremy + Sue Anne

We had the pleasure of filming Jeremy and Sue Anne’s Cooper Creek Wedding in Blue Ash, Ohio. This is a highlight film of their wedding day. It was bright and sunny when we arrived at Cooper Creek Event Center and because of the amount of rain we had been experiencing in the midwest I had my eyes on the forecast all week. The chance of rain wasn’t very high, but right as we were getting ready to position Jeremy for the first look it started to rain. Luckily it was a very short rain shower and it passed very quickly so we were able to get back outside to get the first look and bridal party photo session in before the ceremony. Sue Anne was so stunning in her Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and those Sergio Rossi heels were to die for. The ceremony was so beautiful and it was very evident how important having a Christ centered marriage is to them. After the ceremony we were able to go back outside and get more footage of them and the light was amazing. It was one of those moments where you just wanted to keep shooting but it was time to get back in to continue the celebration with their reception.

Thank you Jeremy and Sue Anne for having us be a part of your wedding team.

Canal 337 Wedding – Eric & Gina

Eric & Gina — Canal 337 Wedding Highlight from Northernlight Filmworks on Vimeo.

With all the rain we had in June we were so lucky that Eric and Gina’s wedding day was so perfect. We were able to head to Canal 337 a little earlier in the day and get some aerial footage right on the canal then we were off to see Gina and Eric and capture them getting ready for their wedding. It was so wonderful meeting their family and friends and seeing all the excitement leading up to the first look. My favorite part when Gina came out in her dress was her little scream. The first look was so sweet as Eric and Gina saw each other for the first time. The ceremony was beautiful and I loved how they looked in each others eyes as they said their vows. You can really see how much these two are in love.

I remember when we met with them over dinner before the wedding John asked about their honeymoon. Eric planned the entire thing but it was a secret to Gina and she wouldn’t know where they were going until they got to the airport. I just love surprises but it was killing me to know. I asked on the wedding day if she knew yet and she still did not know. Eric told her he could tell if she wanted but she insisted on keeping it a surprise. I couldn’t wait to see where they went. Gina posted on her Facebook page they made it to Costa Rica. That was an awesome surprise!

Congratulations Eric and Gina! We are so happy for you and wish you a life time of happiness.

We had the pleasure working with a great team of vendors. Thank you to Maike Pullian for sharing her photos with us. To check out Eric and Gina’s wedding photos, CLICK HERE.

Steve {and} Brittany

Here is the wedding day highlight for Steve and Brittany’s IU wedding. It was a gorgeous day. We started off at the Scholars Inn Bed and Breakfast to capture Brittany and her bridesmaids getting ready as well as caught up with Steve getting ready at the Briddle Hotel in the IU Memorial Union. After the 1st look we ventured over to the football game for some tailgating photo/video fun. The ceremony was held in the courtyard outside the IU Memorial Union and the reception was in the Alumni Hall.

Tom {and} Betsy

We love unique weddings and Tom and Betsy’s was amazing. There were so many unique and vintage details that were so personal to Tom and Betsy. The fact that is was happening on her family’s farm was so fun. Although the weather did not cooperate, which we were just as disappointed as they were, it turned out to be a beautiful heartfelt ceremony. The highlight was shot on Super 8mm film which goes right along their vintage theme. One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was when they planted the tree together then prayed hand in hand, forehead to forehead. It was so touching. We really enjoyed interacting with Tom and Betsy, their family and friends.

They hired an amazing team of vendors who we truly love working with.
