Naples, Florida Wedding | Grady + Jill

It was the perfect weekend for Grady and Jill’s Naples, Florida wedding! We loved getting to know Grady and Jill as well as all of their family and close friends. The weekend was filled with so much love and happiness, I could not stop smiling as I was editing their film.

There are so many special moments I absolutely love in their film. From her dads speech to Jill bouncing up and down after getting in her dress and saying she wants to wear her dress all the time. Grady talking about how there was so much depth to Jill and he recognized that when they first met. Then seeing him tear up when they had their first look. All the loving glances they gave each other throughout the weekend. It is so apparent how close they both are with their families. I also adore how Jill had a piece of her grandfather’s shirt sown in her dress so he was with her on her wedding day.

Grady and Jill, thank you so much for having us document your spectacular wedding weekend and create your wedding film for you to relive over and over again for many years to come.

Downtown Indianapolis Winter Wedding | Steven + Marianne

Christmas is my favorite holiday. It is also a perfect time for a downtown Indianapolis winter wedding. The entire city is decorated which makes for great backdrops for photos. The only thing missing from Steven and Marianne’s winter wedding was the snow.

It is such an honor when we get to film a wedding of a sibling of a previous bride or groom. We filmed Steven’s sister Emily’s wedding in the fall of 2017 {JD + Emily}. I was so thrilled when Marianne contacted me about filming her and Steven’s wedding.

I sometimes get asked how we keep our wedding films from looking exactly like each other. Especially after doing being in the profession for 13 years. While most weddings are the same in the structure of the day and usually the words said at the ceremony, I look for the ways it is different. One way is through interviewing the couple. I loved learning about Steven and Marianne’s story. How they met at Purdue and about the qualities they love about the other was so beautiful and sweet. Each couple is different, unique and has a different story. Another way is drawing into the speeches at the reception. Marianne’s dad gave a wonderful toast and I chose this to be the base story line for their day. It not only was a fabulous toast, it spoke to the character our lovely couple and what makes them unique.

It truly was a magical day. Steven and Marianne, thank you for having us there to document your day and create your film!

Christ Church + Omni Severin Wedding | Chris + Amanda

Chris and Amanda had a stunning Christ Church Cathedral and Omni Severin wedding. It is always an honor when we get to film a sibling wedding of our previous clients. We met Chris and Amanda in 2017 when we filmed Chris’ brother Nick’s wedding. We were so excited to be working with their family again.

The day started off at the Omni to capture both Amanda and Chris getting ready! They did a first look at the grand staircase inside the Omni, which is so stunning. We then captured a few family photos and took a stroll over to Hudnut Commons for more photos with the bridal party. The ceremony at Christ Church Cathedral was beautiful and Dean Steve Carlsen had a wonderful message for their marriage. After the ceremony we swung by White River State Park for a more photos. A groomsman rented one of those scooters and Amanda jumped on and road across the bride! Then it was back to the Omni for dinner and dancing. It was an amazing party to celebrate Chris and Amanda. As always Jim Cerone had the dance floor packed and rocking all night!

This was our first time filming a Barn at Bay Horse Inn wedding. It is such a lovely venue. We especially loved the old log cabin where Taylor and her bridesmaids got ready. We sat down with Taylor and Michael on camera so they could tell their story. Oh boy was their first date memorable!!! The day was perfect for Taylor and Michael to celebrate with their family and friends.

Jeremy and Katie’s wedding was so beautiful! We loved that both their ceremony and reception, Sacred Heart + Union Station, were two of our favorite venues in Indianapolis. Muncie Wedding | Scott + Emily

We had the pleasure of documenting Scott and Emily’s Muncie wedding. Despite the torrential downpours and flooding it was a beautiful wedding for an amazing couple and family.

We loved learning about Scott and Emily’s story and how they have had their eyes on each other since middle school. Their first look was the sweetest. Scott had the biggest smile on his face as soon as he turned to see his beautiful bride.

Having a Muncie wedding was important to their story. St. Mary’s Catholic church is the same church Emily’s parents got married in as well as Muncie being where both Scott and Emily went to college.

Thank you Scott and Emily for having us be a part of your wedding to tell your story through video and photography.

Indianapolis Wedding Film | Ben + Kathleen

It was the perfect day for Ben and Kathleen’s Indianapolis Wedding.  We started off the day capturing the buzz of the preparations  with the girls at Kathleen’s parents house and the guys at the Marriott North Hotel.  One of my favorite moments after Kathleen was in her wedding dress was when her grandmother came in to see her. Her expression was priceless!!!

Their ceremony took place at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral. I was so surprised with filming weddings for 12 years this was our first time filming in this beautiful cathedral. Ben and Kathleen did not see each other prior to the ceremony. Witnessing their first sights of each other was so special. It was such a beautiful ceremony and we loved capturing the streamer exit at the end! We then headed to Newfields for their party! Newfields {Indianapolis Art Museum} is such a great place to film and photograph. We captured footage of Ben and Kathleen and their bridal party around the Newfields property before heading into the Deer Zink Pavillon to capture all the AMAZING details of their reception. Their party was off the charts and so much fun.

Ben & Kathleen, thank you for having us document your stunning wedding. It was a pleasure working with you and your families to create this lasting memories for you to cherish for years and years to come.

Rocky Mountain Wedding | Jimmy + Courtney

We were over the moon to be chosen to film Jimmy and Courtney’s wedding. Not only because they are an amazing couple, it was a huge thrill that we were going to be filming in our all time favorite place, the Rocky Mountains!!!! We absolutely love when we get Rocky Mountain weddings. Unlike other weddings we have filmed in the Rockies, this was a complete destination wedding for Jimmy and Courtney and all their guests. They told us how much they love Colorado and the mountains and it was the absolute perfect location for them to get married surrounded by their family and closest friends.

For anyone who knows John and I it is no surprise we decided to make this a week long adventure for us. We also took along my mom, who has never been to Colorado. I couldn’t wait to have her experience why we love it so much. We started out our adventure in our favorite town of Breckenridge for a few days before making our way to Estes Park. On our way we drove up through Winter Park and entered Rocky Mountain National Park on the west side and drove across the park on Trail Ridge Road. In all the times we have been to Colorado this was our first time visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. We then spent the entire next day driving around Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park getting b-roll for Jimmy and Courtney’s film. We also met up with Jimmy and Courtney to get their interview for their film as well.

The wedding day was AMAZING! We started off our day at Della Terra Mountain Chateau capturing Jimmy and Courtney getting ready with their family and friends. We also had the privilege of working with Kristopher Lindsay Photography (check out their amazing work of Jimmy and Courtney’s wedding day!). The ceremony was located at St Malo Catholic Church “Chapel on the Rock”, which is the cutest church in the heart of the mountains. After the ceremony and family photos were finished we headed into Rocky Mountain National Park for the most stunning bridal session I think we have EVER had the opportunity to capture. It was so lovely it was hard to stop shooting so we could head to the reception. Their reception was at Della Terra which is located just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. The views were stunning!!! It was such a beautiful celebration of Jimmy and Courtney. Starting Room Only DJ Jay Kacik had the dance floor rocking all night!

Thank you Jimmy, Courtney and family for having us there to capture your wedding day and retell your story through your wedding film. And of course taking us to Colorado with you.

Zionsville Wedding Film | Bria + Damien

It was a beautiful day for Bria and Damien’s Zionsville wedding. We were a little nervous as we had been experiencing rain on and off all week and the forecast seemed to change by the minute. This wedding film is so very special to us because after 12 years of being in the wedding industry, the time finally came we were the parents of the bride.

I (Jen) have to admit it was very hard not to be working and to just be in the moment and enjoy the day. Once the ceremony started, I was finally able to be in the moment and take it all in. John did a wonderful job with his father of the bride speech and it was difficult only using a bit for the movie. I have lost count how many times I have cried while I edited this film, happy tears of course.

Bria and Damien, Dad and I are so very proud of you as individuals, a beautiful married couple, and amazing parents to Brynleigh. We cannot wait to see all the wonderful things awaiting your future.

Thank you to all our amazing wedding “friendors” who helped us make this day so special for Bria and Damien. And a special shout out to Felicia, Jon, Laura, and Maura for documenting the day for us.

Scottish Rite Wedding Film | Karissa + Ryan

We were so excited for Karissa and Ryan’s Scottish Rite wedding. It is one of our favorite reception venues in Indianapolis. This was probably one of the longest bookings we have had to date. I remember when Karissa contacted us about filming her wedding in January of 2016. We don’t typically book out 2 years in advance and told her to contact me in July as I would be opening up the 2nd half of 2017 dates for booking then. About a week later she wrote back telling me she absolutely loved our work and wanted to book asap if possible because she did not want to miss out on having us film her wedding. So of course I loved her organization and drive and booked her!

The day was was perfect. We started off at The Alexander Hotel for getting ready and interviewed both Karissa and Ryan’s parents. What a special addition to their film. They had a private first look without photo or video in the room, then we had a ball filming the bridal party photo session around The Alexander Lobby.

The ceremony took place in the beautiful St. Mary’s Church in downtown Indianapolis. Then it was off to the Scottish Rite for the reception. They did some photos at the front steps before going inside. The hall has a wonderful second story balcony around the entire room where cocktail hour was held. Karissa and Ryan decided to be introduced and do their first dance with all their guests looking down from the balcony. After their first dance the guests were escorted down lead by the bagpiper where they received a glass of champagne with their table assignment. It was a perfect evening with amazing toasts and dancing the night away by the fabulous The Doo Band.

Karissa and Ryan, thank you for having us document your beautiful wedding and create a film for you to watch for many many years to come.
